Benhashim on Calls for His Departure: "I Deal with It Normally, I Have the Support of Fans, President, and Players"
Wydad AC coach Amin Benhashim confirmed that he is dealing normally with reports circulating about calls for his departure. He also explained the reason behind allowing player Ramiro Vaca to join the Bolivian national team early.
Speaking at the press conference ahead of the match against Olympique Safi, Benhashim stated: "This is a normal matter, and I deal with it normally because I enjoy the support of the fans who come to the stadium, as well as the fans I meet in the street, and also the president's office and the players."
He added: "It is anyone's right to call for the coach's departure, but there are officials who make decisions, and there is also a coach who makes decisions."
Regarding the decision to allow Ramiro Vaca to join the Bolivian squad early, Benhashim explained: "He is an important player, and the coach of the Bolivian national team requested that we allow him to join early to ensure his readiness, given their crucial upcoming match that could lead to World Cup qualification. Wydad AC would also be delighted to have four or five players participating in the World Cup."
Wydad AC will host Olympique Safi this Sunday evening, with kick-off scheduled for 8:00 PM (GMT+1), in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup quarter-finals. The first leg concluded with a 1-1 draw.
