Benhashim: "Match Against Olympique Safi Will Not Be Easy, Away Draw Gives Us a Relative Advantage"

Mohamed Amine Benhashim, coach of Wydad AC, affirmed that his team is in good form ahead of their clash against Olympique Safi in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup quarter-finals.

During the pre-match press conference, Benhashim stated, "We are going through a good phase, especially after the result we achieved in the first leg, where an away draw gives us a relative advantage."

He further explained, "We aimed for a win, but we couldn't achieve it. Nevertheless, a draw is considered somewhat positive on the road."

He added, "The second leg will not be easy because our opponent will also be looking to qualify, which requires us to be fully focused and prepared."

Benhashim continued, "Based on the available information and initial assessment, we have tried our best to prepare ourselves thoroughly, both in terms of atmosphere and the approach we will take into the match, to manage the game effectively. We hope this preparation will lead us to qualification."

Wydad will host Olympique Safi on Sunday at the Mohammed V Complex, with kick-off scheduled for 8:00 PM (GMT+1). The first leg ended in a 1-1 draw.
