
Morocco U17s Defeat Tunisia (2-0) in North African Tournament Opener
The Moroccan U17 national team achieved a successful start in the North African Football Union (UNAF) tournament held in Benghazi, Libya, after defeating their Tunisian counterparts by two goals to nil in their opening match of the competition.
The match saw the national squad shine, asserting their dominance and successfully converting their superiority into two goals scored by Mohamed Habib Zanbi and Rami Loukmani. Zanbi opened the scoring in the first half, before Loukmani sealed the victory with a goal in the final moments of the game.
This tournament serves as a qualifier for the U17 Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled to take place in Morocco in 2026, which in turn is a stepping stone towards qualifying for the upcoming World Cup finals in Qatar.
