Over 54,000 Atletico Madrid Members Request Copa del Rey Final Tickets
Spanish club Atletico Madrid has confirmed that 54,385 of its members have submitted official requests for tickets to the Copa del Rey final. The match is scheduled to take place against Real Sociedad on April 18 in Seville. This overwhelming demand far exceeds the 21,828 tickets allocated to club members from the team's total share, presenting the club's management with the challenge of distributing a limited number of seats.
In an official statement, the club clarified that the volume of requests received is more than double the number of tickets available for direct distribution to members. This highlights the immense anticipation for the team's first final in this competition since 2013. Atletico Madrid is set to begin contacting applicants via email in the coming days to provide details on the payment process, with the online phase for seat selection and payment scheduled to commence on March 23.
The Spanish capital club's total allocation stands at 25,680 tickets, with 1,050 of these designated for official fan clubs and an additional 160 tickets exclusively reserved for members with disabilities. Given this historic demand, the club's management has adopted membership seniority as the criterion for allocation. It has been determined that a minimum of 15.79 years of continuous membership will be required to qualify, ensuring fair distribution among the most loyal supporters.
