Atletico Madrid's Director of Football, Mateo Alemany, has confirmed that player Julian Alvarez will remain with the team, refuting all recent speculation surrounding his future.

The official explained that the forward is very happy in the Spanish capital, especially as he is tied to a long-term contract extending for another four years, with a mutual desire for continued collaboration for an even longer period.

Alemany emphasized the player's stable situation and dismissed rumors about his departure in statements made to "Movistar" network. Alemany stated: "Julian clearly said he is very happy at Atletico, and everything that comes from him is interpreted in different ways." He added that the player has a valid contract and will remain a key part of the club's squad for the upcoming phase.

The Director of Football also highlighted Julian's exceptional current performance, which is prompting the club to consider improving the terms of his contractual agreement in the future. In this context, Alemany reported: "He has four more years on his contract, and we expect him to stay longer; in fact, we aspire to extend the agreement."
