AS FAR Faces Fiery Return Leg in Cairo After First-Leg Draw
The 1-1 draw between AS FAR and their visitors Pyramids FC in the first leg of the CAF Champions League quarter-finals has postponed the decision on qualification until the highly anticipated return leg next week in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
The Moroccan military club will be required to achieve a positive result in the return fixture, scheduled to be held at the Air Defense Stadium, to continue their journey in the continental competition and reach the semi-finals.
AS FAR now needs to win the second leg to secure direct qualification. A draw with two goals or more (e.g., 2-2, 3-3) would also grant them passage, benefiting from the away goals rule.
The return leg between the two teams is expected to take place next Saturday in Cairo, where the Moroccan representative will aim to achieve a positive outcome that ensures their continued contention for the continental title.
