Olympique Marseille Confirms Aguerd Surgery on Thursday
Olympique Marseille has announced that its Moroccan defender, Nayef Aguerd, will undergo surgery tomorrow, Thursday, to treat a groin inflammation he has been suffering from for a period.
In an official statement, the club explained that Nayef Aguerd had been experiencing increasing pain and discomfort in recent weeks. Despite continuing to play under these conditions and undergoing conservative treatments by Marseille's medical staff, the progression of the injury necessitated the decision for surgery as the essential solution to address this health issue.
Following the operation, the Moroccan defender will commence a special rehabilitation program under the supervision of Olympique Marseille's medical team, with the aim of regaining his physical fitness and gradually returning to the pitch.
The French club expressed its full support for the player during his recovery period, wishing him a speedy recovery and a quick return to competition.
