Exclusive: Taknauti and Boureika Boost AS FAR Squad Ahead of Pyramids Clash in CAF Champions League
AS FAR has received good news with the return of two of its key players ahead of their clash against Egyptian side Pyramids FC in the first leg of the CAF Champions League quarter-finals.
Albotola learned from a private source that Reda Taknauti has returned to group training and is expected to be available for the Pyramids match. However, his participation as a starter will be a decision for the technical staff.
Meanwhile, Mohcine Boureika has also rejoined the military club's group training sessions after recovering from an ankle injury that kept him sidelined for over four weeks.
The military team began its preparations this evening at the Maâmora Sports Center, following the postponement of their match against Olympique Dcheira, which was part of the tenth round of the local competition.
The first leg is scheduled to take place at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat on Friday, March 13, at 22:00 GMT. Somali referee Omar Artan will officiate the match, with Ghanaian Daniel Laryea managing the VAR room, assisted by Libyan Ahmed Al-Shalmani.
