El Sabbah: "Union Touarga Match Will Be Unforgettable for Players, We Are Fighting to Make Our Fans Happy at Season's End"
Wydad AC player Walid El Sabbah stated that the match against Union Touarga will be unforgettable for the players, given the "exciting" scenario witnessed during the encounter, which was part of Week 15 of the Professional League.
Speaking to the press after the 4-3 victory over Union Touarga, El Sabbah said: "Praise be to God for the fighting spirit of the players. When you possess that winning mentality, it allows you to come back in a match. I believe we made the game difficult for ourselves on two occasions; in the first half, we conceded two goals and came back, and after entering the second half, they scored a third goal against us, which made things very challenging."
He continued: "I think that with the substitutions, we kept believing in ourselves until the last minute. I believe it was a great match and will be unforgettable for the players, and I thank them for their fighting spirit. These are three important points for our campaign, and I thank the fans who came to support us. We hope to achieve a positive result in the next match, God willing."
Regarding the defeat against AS FAR, he added: "The pace against RS Berkane was escalating, then we faced AS FAR. We managed to keep up in the first half, but in the second half, we felt a physical collapse, similar to what happened to AS FAR against Renaissance Zemamra, where they couldn't keep up in the second half."
El Sabbah concluded: "Pressure is inherent in football, and the fans want victories and want to see you at the top. We will accept that with a positive spirit. We are fighting to make our fans happy at the end of the season."
