Raja Puts Professional League in Dilemma Over Postponed Matches Before Second Leg
Raja Club Athletic has issued an official statement, presenting a real challenge to the National Professional Football League. In the statement, the club emphasized the necessity of scheduling all postponed first-leg matches before the commencement of the second-leg fixtures in the professional league.
Raja's statement comes after the 'Green Team' completed all its first-leg matches, while several other clubs still have outstanding postponed games. This situation raises concerns about fair play and ensuring equitable standings among the clubs.
Raja referred to the provisions of Article 20, Paragraph 4, of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation's Competition Regulations, which stipulates that postponed matches must be played before the start of the second half of the championship.
The statement presents the League with clear demands to find an urgent solution for the postponed matches before scheduling the second-leg fixtures. This serves as a test of the League's ability to enforce regulations and ensure fair competition, especially since Raja has stressed its adherence to the rules and its right to equal opportunities with other teams.
