Barcelona Displaces Real Madrid, Reclaims La Liga Lead
Barcelona returned to the top of the Spanish La Liga standings after defeating visitors Levante 3-0 on Sunday. The match took place at the Camp Nou stadium as part of Week 25 of the league.
Barça dominated their opponents, opening the scoring early in the 4th minute through Marc Bernal. Captain Frenkie de Jong then added the second goal in the 32nd minute, while Fermín López sealed the victory with the third goal in the 81st minute.
With this victory, Barcelona increased their points tally to 61, reclaiming the top spot in the Spanish league standings. This move capitalized on Real Madrid's 2-1 defeat against Osasuna on Saturday.
In contrast, Levante continues to struggle at the bottom of the table, occupying 19th (second-to-last) position with 18 points. Today's loss marked their 15th defeat in La Liga this season.
