Al-Curva Sud: Moulay Abdellah Stadium is an Inherent Right, Not a Negotiable Demand for FAR Rabat
The "Ultras Askary" and "Black Army" groups, supporters of FAR Rabat, have expressed their categorical rejection of any attempts to undermine the Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat or impose temporary alternatives, ahead of hosting Club Meknès. They consider the historic stronghold an integral part of the club's and its fans' identity.
The "Curva Fachi" statement read: "Before the first whistle at the Olympic Stadium, the decision was final and irreversible: 'No alternative to the historic stronghold.' It was stated clearly then, and we reiterate it today in an unequivocal tone, because coexisting with makeshift solutions is not an option. Attempts to impose them as a fait accompli will not pass, no matter how long it takes, because what is imposed by coercion will remain temporary, and what is built without conviction is destined to fall."
The two groups clarified: "Moulay Abdellah Stadium is not a negotiable demand, nor a privilege to be awaited, nor a matter to be bargained over. It is an inherent right and a natural extension of the identity and memory of FAR Rabat and its fans. Opening this topic for discussion is, in itself, a mistake, because established rights are not put on the negotiation table. Whoever attempts this is merely testing the limits of a patience that will not last long."
They continued: "The accumulation of stances and decisions by Governor 'El Yaacoubi' towards the team since the start of this season is no longer interpreted as administrative diligence, but rather as an integrated approach to restrict and attempt to hinder the club. This is perhaps in the interest of another team that monopolizes the capital's sports facilities through crooked means, without accountability or oversight. Recent history, especially what preceded the decision regarding the Horoya Conakry match, is sufficient to confirm that what is happening is neither a coincidence nor a misjudgment. Those pages have been preserved, and whoever bets on forgetfulness misunderstands the memory of the fans."
"Curva Fachi" added: "Moulay Abdellah is not just a stadium, but a symbol and a stronghold of identity. Whoever imagines that its seizure will pass without cost is mistaken in their calculations. Defending the stronghold is defending the entity, and whoever approaches the identity automatically places themselves in a position of confrontation, with full responsibility for what may result from it."
They concluded: "We state it clearly and unequivocally: we will not normalize exclusion, and we will not accept temporary solutions imposed as a fait accompli. Finally, regarding the Ittihad Touarga match, we inform everyone that if the latter attempts to impose a limited number of tickets, they must bear responsibility for the large crowds that may gather around the stadium, as these fans have not watched their team from the stadium for nearly two and a half months."
FAR Rabat is scheduled to face Ittihad Touarga next Saturday at 9:00 PM (21:00 GMT), in the 13th round of the "Inwi" Professional League - First Division.
