Pyramids' General Coach Nagi Gedo Warns AS FAR: 'We Are Second Favorites After Al Ahly, Knockout Matches Will Be Different'

Mohammed Nagi Gedo, Pyramids' general coach, discussed the results of the CAF Champions League quarter-final draw, affirming that Al Ahly remains the top favorite to win the current edition of the continental competition.

In statements to "MBC Masr" channel, Gedo explained that his team delivered strong performances during the group stage and successfully asserted their presence in the competition. He noted that the upcoming stage will present entirely different challenges compared to what came before.

He emphasized that knockout stage matches differ completely from group stage encounters, both in terms of pressure and the small details that determine qualification.

Gedo openly stated that Al Ahly remains the primary contender for the title, with Pyramids positioned as the second favorite, given the team's continental performance this season.

The quarter-final draw paired Pyramids against AS FAR, while Al Ahly will face Tunisia's Esperance in a highly anticipated clash in the same round.
