Al-Hilal Recovers Bounou for Al-Ettifaq Clash After Injury Absence Against Shabab Al-Ahli
Saudi club Al-Hilal was without the services of their Moroccan international goalkeeper Yassine Bounou during their match against UAE's Shabab Al-Ahli on Monday evening. Bounou's absence from the seventh round of the AFC Champions League Elite West group stage fixture was due to an injury sustained before the game.
Bounou suffered a shoulder injury during the team's final training session, prompting the technical staff to withdraw him from the match as a precautionary measure to avoid any complications that could affect his readiness for upcoming fixtures.
According to several Saudi media reports, the Moroccan goalkeeper is expected to return to the squad for the upcoming clash against Al-Ettifaq, scheduled for Friday, February 13, as part of Round 22 of the Roshn Saudi League.
Al-Hilal is currently enjoying an excellent run in the AFC Champions League Elite, topping their group with 19 points.
