Al-Hilal Officially Announce Karim Benzema Signing from Al-Ittihad
Al-Hilal Saudi Club has officially announced the signing of French star Karim Benzema from Al-Ittihad Jeddah during the current winter transfer window.
Al-Hilal posted a welcoming message to the French star on their official "X" account, stating: "Karim in the stronghold of the Leader."
Saudi newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat had previously reported that Benzema's move to Al-Hilal was official, with a contract set to run for a year and a half, until June 2027.
Benzema's move follows disagreements between him and Al-Ittihad Jeddah's management over a contract extension. This prompted his decision to depart, especially after receiving two offers: one from Al-Hilal and another from Italian club Juventus. The player ultimately chose to remain in the Saudi League and join Al-Hilal.
Karim Benzema had missed his former team's recent match against Al-Najma in the 20th round of the Roshn Saudi League, amid the ongoing developments surrounding his transfer.
