Vaca: 'Playing in Africa is Different from America and Will Aid My Career Development'
Wydad AC player Ramiro Vaca expressed his great satisfaction with the one-goal victory over Nairobi United, praising the team's spirit and resilience in the fifth round of the CAF Confederation Cup group stage.
Ramiro Vaca stated, "Yes, it was a very difficult match. We knew that. We watched many videos of our opponent and realized it would be a tough encounter, but thankfully, we managed to win in the end, and that's a good achievement for us today."
Regarding Wydad AC finishing the group stage at the top, Ramiro Vaca explained, "Yes, this is the most important thing for us. We were striving to achieve that. We are very happy. I believe the match was strong, solid, and extremely difficult, but we found the solution in the end."
He added, "All the players who participated today delivered a fantastic performance against a very strong team. Our fans and supporters were also there to back us, and I think that's the most important thing for us, to have them present and supporting us. We are happy that we gave them the win today."
He continued, "Yes, I only joined the team a week ago, so this was my first match here. I felt very good, and I believe I played a good game. It's natural that it's not always easy in the first match."
He went on to say, "I was used to playing in South America, and this is my first time playing in Africa. I see that the league is very competitive, and today's match was extremely difficult, and we are happy that we achieved the victory."
