Gassim: 'Playing in Ligue 1 Was My Childhood Dream, I Didn't Expect It So Soon'
Yassine Gassim, a Morocco U20 international and new recruit for French club Strasbourg, expressed his immense joy at fulfilling his dream of playing in France's top-tier league. He affirmed his commitment to working hard to improve his performance.
Gassim told the media: "The players have welcomed me incredibly well. It's an amazing group, truly like a family. I believe that's the secret to our strength. Honestly, I feel very comfortable here."
He added: "Everything happened very quickly. I had been waiting for this moment since I was very young. I dreamed of one day playing in Ligue 1 and signing with a club there. Honestly, I didn't expect it to happen so fast, but I am preparing and trying to work and give my all to be ready as soon as possible."
Gassim continued: "Diego is a great player. He helped me a lot to integrate, along with Samir. Honestly, Diego is a true role model. When you watch him play, you learn, and we also learn a lot from his personality. Frankly, I prefer to live a day like this. He is an example to follow. He always pushes us to be better, and in every training session, he motivates us to develop."
He concluded: "Currently, I am still discovering the atmosphere because I've only been here for two and a half weeks. I've only played three matches and haven't featured much in the French league. I'm trying to work on increasing my game tempo and intensity because the training here is different, as are the rhythm and technical level."
