Achraf Hakimi Officially Suspended for One Match, Misses Le Classique
The Disciplinary Committee of the French Professional Football League (LFP) announced its disciplinary decisions on Wednesday evening, following the 20th round of Ligue 1.
Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi, Paris Saint-Germain's right-back, was prominent on the list of suspended players. This news delivers a significant blow to coach Luis Enrique's tactical plans ahead of the highly anticipated "Le Classique" against Olympique Marseille.
The committee decided to suspend Hakimi for one match, with an additional match suspended. This sanction stems from his direct red card in his team's recent fixture against Strasbourg earlier this week, following a strong challenge on player Joaquin Panichelli in the 75th minute.
Consequently, Hakimi's absence from "Le Classique" against Olympique Marseille is officially confirmed. The pivotal match is scheduled for next Sunday at the Parc des Princes, kicking off at 20:45 GMT+1.
