Gordon on Hakimi: "He is the best player I have faced in my career"

Anthony Gordon, the English Newcastle United player, has praised the qualities of Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi, Paris Saint-Germain's right-back, describing him as the best.

Speaking to the media about Hakimi, Gordon said: "I've spoken about this before. I think he's the best for me, and he's the best player I've faced in my career. Since I said that, he has continued to develop and get better, and he was a key player in the team that won the Champions League."

He continued: "He has provided many goals and assists from the right-back position, and he is an exceptional player by all standards. However, this type of challenge brings out the best in me, and that's why I'm looking forward to the confrontation. I think you know me well by now; I always back myself against any opponent."

Newcastle will visit Paris Saint-Germain tonight (21:00 GMT+1) at the Parc des Princes, as part of the eighth round of the league stage of the Champions League competition.
