Ronaldo Considers Al Nassr Exit Amid Transfer Market Concerns
Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly considering leaving Saudi club Al Nassr due to dissatisfaction with the level of support his club receives in the transfer market compared to rivals.
British network Sky Sports reported that Ronaldo expressed concern over the financial backing Al Nassr receives compared to other clubs in the Saudi League, prompting him to re-evaluate his stay in Saudi Arabia before his contract concludes.
This dissatisfaction reportedly intensified after Al Hilal strengthened its squad with major players like Karim Benzema, while Al Nassr failed to make significant reinforcements in the recent transfer window. This raised Ronaldo's reservations about the team's ability to compete and win titles.
Senior Saudi officials have, for their part, urged Ronaldo to end his discontent and return to participate with the team. They reportedly expressed surprise at his unhappiness despite his massive salary, estimated at around £500,000 per day.
Ronaldo's contract with Al Nassr has 18 additional months remaining and includes a £43 million release clause that could be activated during the summer transfer window, despite the player turning 41 in a few days.
