Bellingham Out for Around a Month; Real Madrid to Rely on Diaz or Güler
Real Madrid has suffered a significant blow with Jude Bellingham's injury yesterday, Sunday, against Rayo Vallecano in La Liga, which will sideline the player for approximately a month.
Bellingham sustained a hamstring injury and will consequently miss four La Liga fixtures against Valencia, Real Sociedad, Osasuna, and Getafe. Additionally, he is expected to miss both legs against Benfica in the Champions League playoff to qualify for the round of 16.
Spanish newspaper AS reported that Moroccan international Brahim Diaz is the leading candidate to cover Bellingham's absence, alongside Turkish international Arda Güler.
It is worth noting that Diaz shone in the match between Real Madrid and Rayo Vallecano, providing the assist for the first goal for the Royal Club, before winning a penalty in injury time that secured all three points for his team.
