Ighaman Undergoes Knee Surgery After Cruciate Ligament Tear
Moroccan international Hamza Ighaman, who plays for French club Lille, announced on Wednesday that he has undergone knee surgery.
Ighaman's surgery was necessitated by an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear in his right knee. He sustained the injury during the Africa Cup of Nations final between Morocco and Senegal.
The injury is expected to sideline Ighaman for several months, prompting Lille to begin searching for a replacement striker for the Moroccan international.
