
Moroccan Sofiane Boufal Joins French Club Le Havre from Belgian Side Union Saint-Gilloise
Le Havre announced the signing of Moroccan international Sofiane Boufal during the current winter transfer window, with the player arriving from Belgian club Union Saint-Gilloise.
The French club confirmed in an official statement that Boufal, who previously shone at Angers SCO and has played for clubs such as Lille OSC, Southampton, Celta Vigo, Al-Rayyan, and Union Saint-Gilloise, possesses extensive experience that will greatly benefit Le Havre.
Boufal has made 46 international appearances for the Moroccan national team, including seven starts at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. He has also played 99 matches in the French league and 11 matches in European competitions.
French newspaper L'Equipe reported that the 32-year-old attacking midfielder Sofiane Boufal has joined Le Havre until the end of the 2025-2026 season.
