
Two Injuries Strike Bayer Leverkusen Before Olympiacos Match
Bayer Leverkusen announced on Sunday that their starting goalkeeper, Mark Flekken, and striker Nathan Tella will be sidelined for several weeks. These injuries occurred during the team's 1-0 defeat to Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
The club clarified that the Dutch international goalkeeper Flekken sustained a knee ligament injury, while the Nigerian forward Tella, who came on as a substitute in the match, injured his foot.
The club confirmed in an official statement that "both players will not be available for an extended period."
Bayer Leverkusen currently sits sixth in the Bundesliga standings and is preparing to face Olympiacos in the Champions League on Tuesday.
