Bensghir: 'I Cried When Told I Wouldn't Move to Marseille; My Family Preferred Monaco for Safety'

Moroccan international Elias Bensghir, a player for German club Bayer Leverkusen, revealed in an interview with "Afrikick Media" the details behind his failed move to Olympique Marseille, indicating that he was deeply affected by it.
Bensghir stated in his interview: "Honestly, to this day, I can't fully explain it. I cried when I was told I wouldn't be going to Marseille."
He further explained: "I also made the decision for my family, because my family wanted to choose safety above all else, and they believed that Marseille wasn't the best place for me to develop."
Bensghir concluded: "I was still young, so I listened to my family's advice, but yes, I really did cry."
