Morocco's Education Ministry Postpones Exams and Assessments Due to AFCON Final
The Ministry of National Education, Preschool, and Sports announced the postponement of the dates for the local unified exam and continuous assessment tests for primary and preparatory secondary levels, scheduled for the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. This decision comes due to their coincidence with the Africa Cup of Nations final between Morocco and Senegal.
This decision was made to ensure students can take their exams under normal conditions, while also providing them with the opportunity to follow the match and support the national team. This reflects the Ministry's commitment to the psychological and social well-being of students, alongside their academic achievement.
Accordingly, the local unified exams will now be held on January 20 and 21, 2026, instead of the previously scheduled dates of January 19 and 20, 2026. Continuous assessment tests will also be rescheduled.
The Ministry confirmed that detailed guidelines, regulations, and scheduling related to the exams will be provided to educational institutions at a later date, to ensure the smooth conduct of operations and adherence to adopted educational standards.
