Belhanda: 'The National Team Delivered a Great Performance Against Nigeria, and I Didn't Feel Afraid During Penalties With Bounou in Goal'
Moroccan player Younes Belhanda, who plays for Qatari club Al-Sailiya, expressed great satisfaction with the performance of the "Atlas Lions" in their recent match against Nigeria in the Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals, affirming that the national team succeeded in delivering an excellent level.
Speaking as a guest on the French radio program "Rothen s'enflamme" on RMC, Belhanda stated: "Honestly, I greatly enjoyed what the national team presented. After the match against Cameroon, I was among the critics because there wasn't enough play, but in the last match, they delivered a great performance."
Belhanda added: "The team played a great game in terms of tactical plans, both offensively and in terms of intensity and high pressing, in addition to good ball distribution. Walid Regragui and the players were at a high level."
Belhanda also praised goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, saying: "Yassine Bounou was present in goal, so I didn't feel afraid during the penalty shootout. The players were also strong and cohesive throughout the match."
