
Senegal Defeat Egypt (1-0), Await Morocco or Nigeria in AFCON Final
The Senegalese national team has qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations final after securing a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Egypt in their semi-final clash on Wednesday evening.
Both sides struggled to create significant attacking opportunities throughout the first half of the match, which was held at the Grand Stade de Tanger and attended by over 52,000 spectators.
Following the break, Senegalese star Sadio Mané scored the decisive goal for his country in the 78th minute, securing their place in the final.
Senegal will now face the winner of the highly anticipated match between Morocco and Nigeria in the AFCON final. That semi-final is scheduled to take place tonight at 21:00 GMT+1 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
