Hany Abourida, President of the Egyptian Football Association, extended a message of gratitude and appreciation to the residents and local authorities of Agadir for the warm reception and significant support the Egyptian national team received during its stay in the city, as part of its participation in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
In an official letter addressed to Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, and the Wali of the Souss-Massa region, Abourida lauded the exceptional hospitality and generosity. He affirmed, "The kind people of Agadir made us feel as if we were among our own family in Egypt, from the moment we arrived until we left the city."

He further noted that "the players and technical staff repeatedly expressed their feeling of ease, as if they were in their own country."
Abourida emphasized that, with the team's relocation to Tangier for the semi-finals, it was his duty to express profound appreciation for Agadir's attention, care, and affection. He also wished for the continued fraternal relations between the Moroccan and Egyptian peoples.
