Koulibaly on Yellow Cards Before Egypt Clash: "We Won't Do the Math to Reach the Africa Cup Final"
Kalidou Koulibaly, a player for the Senegalese national team, affirmed that the "Teranga Lions'" focus is entirely on reaching the Africa Cup of Nations final, despite seven players facing suspension if they receive new yellow cards during their semi-final match against Egypt.
Koulibaly emphasized that the priority is qualifying for the final, regardless of individual risks, stating: "We won't make calculations. We are at the service of the people. We will try to do everything to get as few cards as possible. I believe some cards were harsh, but we won't complain. We are happy to be in the semi-finals."
He added: "Whether this player or that one plays, we will give 100% of ourselves. We won't make calculations to be able to go to the final, and God willing, we will make our people dream."
It is worth noting that the Senegalese national team will face their Egyptian counterparts next Wednesday (18:00 GMT+1) at the Tangier Grand Stadium.
