Kofani, Cameroon Striker: "Fan Pressure? I Think Dortmund Fans Are More Numerous Than Moroccan Fans"
Christian Kofani, the Cameroon national team striker, believes that playing against the Moroccan national team in front of over 60,000 fans at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium does not put any pressure on him or the other players.
Kofani appeared today, Thursday, at the pre-match press conference. When asked about fan pressure, the Bayer Leverkusen player stated: "In Germany, there is the Borussia Dortmund team. I think their fans are more numerous than the Moroccan fans," indicating that he has played against Dortmund's supporters and is therefore accustomed to such pressure.
He added: "Regarding the fans, there is no pressure; the atmosphere is calm. We are working and will apply what we have been working on all week, and the best team will win."
It is worth noting that the Moroccan national team will face its Cameroonian counterpart tomorrow, Friday (20:00 GMT+1), in the Africa Cup of Nations quarter-finals. The match will be hosted at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in the capital, Rabat.
