Former Cameroon International Tchoutang: 'It Will Be Over If We Score First Against Morocco'
Former Cameroon international Bernard Tchoutang believes his national team possesses all the qualities needed to overcome the challenge of the Moroccan national team, despite the anticipated difficulty of their Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final clash.
Tchoutang explained that the ideal scenario for the "Indomitable Lions" would be to score first, believing that an early goal would give Cameroon a psychological and tactical advantage that could decide the encounter.
He stated in comments reported by "actu cameroun": "We defeated Nigeria in Lagos in 2000, and we made Ivory Coast 'sleep' at 6 PM."
He concluded: "Against Morocco, the task will be tougher, but as soon as we score the first goal, it will be over."
Cameroon is scheduled to face Morocco on Friday, January 9, 2025, at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, kicking off at 8 PM. This match is anticipated to be one of the most prominent fixtures of the quarter-final round.
