Brys Takes Legal Action: 'I've Hired a Lawyer... FIFA Must Intervene, But Infantino Has a Strange Relationship with Eto'o'

Belgian coach Marc Brys has announced his intention to take legal action against Cameroonian sports authorities, deeming his dismissal from coaching the "Indomitable Lions" before the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco "illegal." This marks a new controversial development within Cameroonian football.

Brys, who stated he had not received official notification of his termination despite decisions from the Cameroonian Football Federation (FECAFOOT), confirmed in an interview with "Sporza" that he has enlisted a lawyer to defend his rights. He asserted that his contract with Cameroon is "clear" and that the events "contradict established procedures in the world of football."

"I have hired a lawyer, the contract is clear," Brys stated. The Belgian coach went further, even referencing FIFA. He added, "Gianni Infantino must intervene as FIFA president, but he has a strange relationship with Eto'o."

The 63-year-old clarified, "I was not personally informed of the dismissal, neither by the Cameroonian Federation nor by the Ministry," highlighting a complete absence of official communication.
