Fae (Ivory Coast Coach): "Our Focus Won't Be Only on Salah, But on the Entire Egypt Team, and We Hope to Reach the Semifinals"
Emerse Fae, head coach of the Ivory Coast national team, believes that preparations for their Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final clash against Egypt will not be limited to monitoring Mohamed Salah alone. Instead, he emphasized the need to approach all elements of the Egyptian team with caution in the quarter-final match.
Speaking to French channel "Canal" after their 3-0 victory over Burkina Faso, Fae stated: "We were not hiding, as some might say. Instead, we were working quietly behind the scenes. We came into this tournament with a clear objective, and we are still moving in the same direction, step by step, match after match."
He continued: "Our focus will not be solely on Mohamed Salah, but on the entire Egyptian national team. We will prepare the team for a strong collective encounter, and we hope to reach the semifinals."
The Ivorian national team is set to face Egypt next Saturday, with the match kicking off at 8:00 PM (GMT+1) at the Grand Stadium in Agadir.
