Ounahi: 'Injury is Part of Football, No Teammate Involved'
Morocco national team player Azzedine Ounahi expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to the Moroccan fans for the messages of support he received following his injury.
Azzedine Ounahi wrote on his social media accounts: “I would like to start by extending my sincere thanks to our dear fans for the great number of messages of support, assistance, and love that I received after suffering my injury.”
He continued: “Your words touched my heart deeply and gave me indescribable moral strength, and I will carry them with me every step of the way.”
He added: “I want to clarify with full transparency that this injury occurred without any contact, and it is one of those injuries that are considered common in football. No teammate of mine has anything to do with what happened, and it was important for me to clarify this point.”
Ounahi further stated: “Despite this injury, I will remain with the group until the end. I may be physically absent from the field, but I am present with my teammates with the spirit of a warrior, with a fighting heart and a mind that believes in them.”
He concluded: “I will support them and the technical staff with full determination and persistence, because our goal is one and clear: to fight together until the last breath to win the Africa Cup title and make the Moroccans happy.”
