
Cameroon Eliminates South Africa, Sets Quarter-Final Clash with Morocco
The Cameroonian national team has qualified for the quarter-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after defeating South Africa 2-1 on Sunday. The Round of 16 match took place at the City Stadium in Rabat.
Junior Chamado opened the scoring for Cameroon in the 33rd minute, with Christian Michel Koufani doubling their lead in the 46th minute. South Africa managed to pull one back in the 88th minute through Evidence Makgopa.
Cameroon is now scheduled to face the Moroccan national team in the quarter-final match next Friday at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat.
