CAF: 'Everyone Eagerly Awaits a New El Kaabi Moment'
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) praised the performance of Moroccan national team striker Ayoub El Kaabi in a report, after he scored a hat-trick in the Africa Cup of Nations group stage, including two goals scored with bicycle kicks.
CAF published a report on its official website titled "Ayoub El Kaabi: Creativity and Bicycle Kick Specialization," which stated: "Since the start of the Africa Cup of Nations 'Morocco 2025,' a new phrase has begun to resonate in stadiums: people no longer talk about 'the bicycle kick' or 'the overhead kick,' but rather about an Ayoub El Kaabi goal."
The report continued: "El Kaabi has, so far, awakened Morocco with two magnificent bicycle kick goals. Before El Kaabi's spark, fans were apprehensive about the slow start to the Atlas Lions' Africa Cup campaign, but smiles have returned thanks to the Olympiacos striker."
It added: "At 32 years old, El Kaabi has, in just a few moments, become a symbol for a national team that has finally broken free. Since then, no one talks about ordinary goals, but rather about an 'El-Kaabicycle'."
The report concluded: "All eyes in Morocco are now on the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, where the Atlas Lions will have the opportunity during the match against Tanzania to confirm their resurgence, and more importantly, to recapture that spectacular spark that makes the stands roar, and everyone eagerly awaits a new El Kaabi moment, a bicycle kick capable of transforming an ordinary match into a timeless moment for many years."
