Zambia Coach: 'Refereeing Was Not Good, We Over-Respected Morocco'
Moses Sichone, head coach of the Zambia national team, expressed his disappointment with the refereeing in his team's match against Morocco. The game, part of the third round of the Africa Cup of Nations group stage, saw the "Atlas Lions" secure a 3-0 victory.
Speaking at the post-match press conference, Sichone stated: "We over-respected Morocco. Some of their players are known for their high level, and we have many young players, but I must also congratulate Morocco."
Addressing the officiating, he added: "The refereeing was unacceptable, and everyone saw how yellow cards were distributed in only one direction. I am sorry for the way this referee managed the match."
