AFCON 2025: Cameroon Holds Ivory Coast to a 1-1 Draw, Qualification for Round of 16 Postponed to Final Matchday

The Cameroonian national team secured a 1-1 draw against their Ivorian counterparts in a match played on Sunday evening at the Grand Stadium of Marrakech. The game was part of the second round of Group F in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.

Ivory Coast broke the deadlock in the second half when Amad Diallo scored in the 51st minute. However, Cameroon quickly responded, finding an equalizer just six minutes later through Junior Tchamadeu in the 56th minute.

Following this draw, Cameroon now tops Group F with 4 points. Ivory Coast sits in second place, also with 4 points, setting up a decisive third matchday to determine which teams will qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations round of 16.
