
AFCON 2025 Qualifiers: Sudan Defeats Equatorial Guinea 1-0, Reviving Knockout Stage Hopes
The Sudanese national team secured a 1-0 victory over Equatorial Guinea on Sunday at Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca. The match was part of the second round of the Africa Cup of Nations group stage qualifiers.
The first half concluded without any goals. However, Saul Koko broke the deadlock in the 74th minute, scoring the winning goal for the Sudanese squad and reviving their hopes of advancing to the next stage of the competition.
Following this result, the Sudanese national team moved up to third place in the group standings with three points, while Equatorial Guinea remains at the bottom without any points.
