
Uganda Coach Put: Morocco Has All It Takes for an Exceptional AFCON, Top Contenders for Title
Paul Put, head coach of the Uganda national team, affirmed that his team's participation in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco would be a unique experience, praising the Kingdom's extensive capabilities in terms of infrastructure and organization.
In a special interview with "Kooora Plus," Paul Put stated: "Without any flattery towards Morocco, I can say that we have a great opportunity to play significant and unique matches there. I have visited most Moroccan cities before, and everyone can see the scale of the achievements made; it's truly amazing – wonderful stadiums, excellent infrastructure, hotels, and roads; everything is available."
He added: "All the components are in place for organizing a very big tournament, and I am convinced that it will be an exceptional and impressive championship."
Regarding the teams favored to go far in the competition, the Uganda coach did not hesitate to place the Moroccan national team at the forefront, saying: "For me, the top contender for the title is Morocco. They have a strong team with highly experienced and mature players, many of whom play at the highest international levels. Additionally, Moroccan fans are passionate about football and will be present in full force, which will create an amazing atmosphere and exceptional support."
It is worth noting that the Ugandan national team is in Group C of the Africa Cup of Nations, alongside Tunisia, Tanzania, and Nigeria.
