Jamal Sellami: "Renard is a person I will never forget in my life"

Jordan national team coach, Jamal Sellami, expressed his gratitude and praise for Saudi Arabia's French coach, Hervé Renard, following their victory over the Saudi team in yesterday's Arab Cup semi-final.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, Sellami stated: "To my friend and brother Renard, I wish you success in the World Cup; you have a strong team. I congratulated him, and we spoke together. Football is 90 minutes, but relationships remain paramount. Renard is a person I will never forget in my life."

Regarding the match itself, Sellami revealed: "Today, we had three injured players on the bench who were unable to participate. Our objective was to ensure the Saudi national team was unaware of this."

It is worth noting that the Jordanian national team defeated their Saudi counterparts 1-0, setting up a final clash against Morocco in the Arab Cup. The final is scheduled for Thursday, the day after tomorrow, at 17:00 GMT+1, at Lusail Stadium in Doha, Qatar.
