José Lana, coach of the Syrian national team, expressed his disappointment after their elimination from the Arab Cup quarter-finals following a 1-0 defeat to Morocco. He affirmed that his team would continue to work on correcting mistakes and improving performance in the future.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, Lana said: "The match was extremely difficult. The Moroccan national team possesses high-quality players. We will try to correct our mistakes to deliver a better performance in upcoming tournaments."

The Spanish coach added: "I salute my players for the level they showed. It was a very tough match, and the players worked extremely hard. Today, we managed to have more possession and advance in the game with our passes, but we couldn't press the opponent's attacking line, and we didn't make the right decisions at certain moments."

Lana concluded: "We tried our best, as I said. We had possession and managed to build some attacks through short passes, but we couldn't find the best option when reaching dangerous areas. We tried to decide matters, but the Moroccan national team closed down spaces tightly. The result is realistic, and football is decided by small details."
