Harimat After Syria Win: "It Was a Deserved Victory, We Promise Fans to Do Our Best for the Title"
Rabie Harimat, captain of the Moroccan B national team, expressed his delight after qualifying for the semi-finals of the Arab Cup, following a one-nil victory over Syria. He affirmed that the national team delivered what was necessary to reach the final four in a match that was by no means easy.
Speaking in a televised statement after the match, Harimat said: "I thank the players for the great effort they put in, and I thank the technical staff for their continuous work. It was a deserved victory for us, and we knew the match wouldn't be easy against an organized team like Syria, a team that knows how to close down spaces and drop deep."
Harimat added: "We had to crack that code, and we succeeded in doing so in the second half. We tried to score, and thankfully we managed it. I thank the players and the fans who always believe in us, and we promise them that we will do our utmost to win the title, God willing."
Regarding the upcoming semi-final clash, Harimat emphasized that the national squad fears no opponent, stating: "It doesn't matter which team we face. Once you get past the quarter-finals, all teams are strong, and as we Moroccans say: 'Whoever comes, welcome.' We have no problem with any team."
