Salomon Kalou: Morocco's Strong Character and Global Experience Will Secure World Cup Qualification

Former Ivorian star Salomon Kalou shared his insights on the Moroccan national team's group following the 2026 World Cup draw held in Washington, in an interview with Africafoot. Kalou asserted that the Atlas Lions, drawn into a group alongside Brazil, Scotland, and Haiti, possess all the necessary qualities to advance to the second round.

Kalou stated, "Morocco is an excellent team and currently one of the best. I see Morocco and Brazil as the strongest contenders to qualify from this group." He added, "Brazil, despite their relative decline, will arrive fully prepared under the leadership of Carlo Ancelotti, and perhaps with Neymar's return before the start of the competition."

Kalou also emphasized the importance of not underestimating Scotland and Haiti, despite their lesser experience compared to Morocco. He affirmed, "The Atlas Lions possess a strong character and global experience that places them among the top favorites in the group."
