Haiti Coach: 'I Will Attend AFCON to Monitor Morocco, They Are a Strong Team with a Winning Streak and Pose a Real Challenge'

The Haiti national team has begun preparations for its participation in the 2026 World Cup, just weeks after the draw placed them in a group alongside Brazil, Morocco, and Scotland. This challenge represents an opportunity for the "Grenadiers" to make a respectable appearance in the finals after an absence of more than half a century.

Sébastien Migné, the French coach of the Haiti national team, confirmed in an interview with "Afrik-Foot" that he will visit Morocco during the Africa Cup of Nations to closely follow the performance of African teams, with a particular focus on the Moroccan national team. Migné explained: "Morocco is a strong team and boasts a continuous winning streak of 18 matches. Their coach, Walid Regragui, leads a well-rounded squad, and they pose a real challenge for us."

Migné also noted that he would use his time in Morocco to follow the matches of DR Congo, led by his friend Sébastien Desabre, but he would pay special attention to observing the performance of the "Atlas Lions." Since the 2022 World Cup, Morocco has demonstrated an ability to impose their playing style, control matches, and exploit counter-attacks efficiently, as was evident in the Qatar tournament.
