Haiti Coach Appeals to Donald Trump Regarding 2026 World Cup

Haiti is preparing for a historic moment next summer, as the national team will participate in the 2026 World Cup, marking their first appearance in 52 years since their sole participation in 1974.

Coach Sébastien Migné attended the group stage draw ceremony held in Washington D.C., where he expressed his feelings despite the challenging group that placed his team against Brazil, Morocco, and Scotland.

Migné seized this opportunity to address a direct message to President Donald Trump, given the ongoing ban on Haitian citizens entering U.S. territory. He stated, "We know there is a large Haitian community in the United States, and we will rely on them."

He added, "Politically, we hope that after Donald Trump received the FIFA Peace Prize, he will continue in this vein and open the doors more widely, because this should be a wonderful celebration of football and for Haitian citizens."

This anticipation is growing stronger, as current exceptions for entry are limited to players, technical staff, and their families, without including fans.
