Regragui: "Hakimi Has Been Working Hard Since His Injury, We Hope He's Ready for AFCON Opener Against Comoros"
Walid Regragui, head coach of the Moroccan national team, expressed his hope for Achraf Hakimi's recovery before the Atlas Lions' opening match in the Africa Cup of Nations against Comoros.
Regragui told French network RMC: "Hakimi's condition is good; he is doing what he needs to do. He is very diligent and eager to be with the national team from the very first match."
The national coach added: "He has been working hard since his injury and hasn't stopped. He is dedicated and has a great spirit. He is our leader and a golden player, so we hope he will be ready from the first encounter."
It is worth noting that the Moroccan national team will kick off their Africa Cup of Nations campaign against Comoros on next December 21, before facing Mali in the second group stage match, followed by Zambia.
