
2026 World Cup Draw: Morocco Placed in Group C Alongside Brazil
The draw for the 2026 World Cup took place this Friday evening in Washington D.C., marking the beginning of a new era for the world's largest football tournament, with the number of participating teams expanded to 48. The Moroccan national team was placed in Group C.
According to the system adopted by FIFA for the upcoming edition, it will be impossible for two teams from the same continent to meet, with the exception of Europe, which has 16 participating teams. Each group will feature at least one European team, with the possibility of two.
The teams have been divided into 12 groups, each comprising four teams. The following will qualify for the Round of 32:
- The first and second-placed teams from each group (24 teams).
- Additionally, the eight best third-placed teams.
