UEFA Reduces Luis Diaz Suspension to Two Matches After Bayern Munich Appeal

Bayern Munich has announced that the suspension of its player, Luis Diaz, has been reduced from three matches to two, following the Bavarian club's appeal against the initial decision. The suspension was originally imposed after Diaz's challenge on Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi during a Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain.

The reduction was granted by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) after reviewing the violent tackle by Diaz against Hakimi during the match, which Bayern Munich won 2-1 against Paris Saint-Germain on November 4.

Consequently, the Colombian winger will miss his team's upcoming home match against Sporting CP, scheduled for next Tuesday. He will, however, be available to participate in the fixture against Union Saint-Gilloise on January 21.
